Check Out My Swag(bucks)

I will admit it. I’m addicted to Starbucks. I spend $20 to $50 a week on it. Well, honestly, I don’t spend anything on it. I use my Swagbucks points to get Starbucks gift cards to feed my addiction.

What is swagbucks? It is a great app/ website that you can answer surveys, do scavanger hunts, shop through, watch videos and play games that reward you with points that you can turn into giftcards.

Today Jeremy and I decided to try the new scavenger hunt feature while we were at Target. The scavenger hunt is where you find products marked new, take a picture of the product on the shelf, scan the barcode, and then answer some questions about the product. Each product you find you get 20 points. Between Jeremy and I we made about $16 worth of points in about 30 mins. We are planning on going to Walmart, CVS, and Walgreen’s this week to do their scavenger hunts.

If you’re interested in trying out swagbucks for yourself click here to register. Don’t hesitate to message me if you have any questions.

  1. Hi Kelly!

Thanks for following my new WordPress blog! I’m writing this comment at 9.30am in England, so – good morning to you when the sun reaches you across the Atlantic!

Well, I, too, I used to like Starbucks. Then we all found out here a couple of years ago that they were paying absolutely no taxes here in Britain; so now I’ve gone back to frequenting little individual cafes owned by local people. They know what coffee I want as soon as I walk in the door, and they don’t have to ask my name and write it on the cup, because they already know it. The meanness of Starbucks had reminded me just in time what we are losing, as the big international corporations take over our high streets. (Remember that movie, ‘You’ve got Mail’, about the bookshop?) I’ve visited Houston, New Orleans, San Francisco and Los Angeles in the USA, and have nice memories of friendly, personal service in some one-off coffee shops there, too.

Okay, it’s time now to settle down and write another 1,000 words of my second ‘Inspector Warren’ crime novel, a sequel to ‘Murder at the Theatre Royal’. Er … well … maybe I’ll get started after another cup of coffee, eh?

    Best Wishes – Albert

    1. Good morning, Albert! Its 7:06am on this side of the pond. 🙂

I understand about small cafes. I wish they had some here but alas this is a small military town were everything is chain stores. I miss the two cafes I use to go to in my hometown. One had sofas you could curl up on to read a book and the people knew your name. The other served the best Turkish coffee I have ever had. I visit them when I go back home when I visit my parents.
Have a good day! I can’t wait to read what you write!
