Happy New Years!

Still playing catch up but we are almost caught up!!! Yay!!! I can’t wait to tell you about current adventures!

New Years was awesome. Jeremy and I went to our friend, Nicole’s house for New Year’s eve. Jeremy and I aren’t wild crazy partiers. We like to hang out with friends, occasionally drink, play games, and just enjoy people’s company. That is exactly what we found at Nicole’s party. It was just a few people hanging out around a bonfire, drinking and playing cards against humanity. It was awesome. Even Chelsea and Julia (Mickey, our foster cat’s new mommy) were there.

Earlier that day Jeremy tried out the dragon cake pan my sister sent us for Christmas. It came out perfectly. I love this cake pan and believe that we will be bringing dragon cakes to more parties.

Of course at midnight I got my New Year’s kiss from my handsome husband. It was the perfect way to ring in the new years.

For New Year’s Day we had our traditional ham, collard greens, black eye peas, and corn bread. I have this every year. I actually made the ham in the crock pot this year. It came out yummy. Jeremy wants me to do this again.

After dinner, our door bell rang. Jeremy got up to answer it and immediately called me to the door. No one was at the door but our door was COVERED in paper hearts with messages on them. It was from two Mormon missionaries that I had talked to when we came back from the states. I had been talking about converting to their church briefly but decided against it when I realized that it wasn’t the right fit for me and Jeremy.

I haven’t really made any resolutions but I do want to try to be happier, healthier, and a better human this year. What are some of y’all’s resolutions?

    1. I absolutely love what they did. I still have it up on my door because it looks so nice for Valentine’s Day now. If you do end up doing, please send me pictures of what you do. 🙂 I’m sure it will bring the person lots of happiness and make them feel loved.
