Little Updates Happening

If you have visited the blog anytime this week, you probably noticed a few changes. I decided to combine my current blog with my previous blog. It seemed like a waste to not work on my previous blog after 3 years but I don't have time to juggle two blogs at this time. If you are only familiar with my paranormal blog, I recommend going back and reading some of my posts from my original blog. I got to see and experience quite a few neat things in Japan. Plus there are quite a few more posts about Al, Dad, and Rampu in my previous blog. You can use the search function to look for certain topics or scroll through the posts to get to the previous blog.

Cats, Chats, and Toilet Ghosts

When I talk to people about what it’s like living with spirits, one thing that is often brought up is how animals seem to interact with spirits. I have heard a lot of people say that animals always seem to be more preceptive to spirits but honestly, I have witnessed animals are about as sensitive as humans. Some will acknowledge activity that is going on and some just seem oblivious to what is going on.

Settling In To Our New Home

Greetings from Illinois! We are officially living in our house. Well, trying to. LOL So far, we only have a bed for furniture. It will be a long six weeks waiting for our stuff to come in. I can’t wait to make this place a home. We spent the first week here at a hotel. It was nice, and I miss the breakfast options.

Why We Choose To Live With Spirits (And How)

One question Jeremy and I receive the most often is “Why do you choose to live with ghosts?”. I know that seems odd especially considering how all the shows seem to show ghosts and spirits either terrifying the residents or being a nuisance to the residents or the people working in the business. Our spirits are our friends. They comfort us when we need it. They let us know we aren’t alone. They are a friend to talk to when we need someone to talk to. They also make us smile and laugh. Who wouldn’t want to have that in their lives?

Meet Our Ghosts: My Dad

A few months after Jeremy and I moved to Japan, my Dad passed away suddenly. He was a great man and I miss him a lot. Even though it’s been 2.5 years, I sometimes still struggle with it. After he passed I wrote post on Southern Ohana telling about his life. I highly recommend reading it before reading the rest of this post. Knowing who he was will help understand why I know my dad comes to visit me.

Meet Our Ghosts: Rampu

One of the great things about living in Japan is finding random little thrift shops. Jeremy and I love exploring thrift stores trying to find hidden jewels. One of our favorite shops in Iwakuni is called Dragonfly. Last summer while walking around the back part of Dragonfly, Jeremy found this old lamp. It was an older touch lamp. He really wanted it because his grandmother had a very similar lamp and it reminded him of her. It was only $15 so I agreed.
