I grew up hearing about both of these spirits. One because she is the most famous hitchhiking spirt in the United States. The other because not only is she locally known to those that live in near High Point, North Carolina but either my uncle or his friend has had the privilege of meeting her.
As I mentioned in a previous post, our little family has been pretty busy this past year. I figured I would take a moment to go over some of the stuff we have been up to.
I first heard of Shawnee Amusement Park back in 2010 when I watched an episode of Ghost Lab that took place there. Since then Shawnee Amusement Park has popped up in conversation a few times.
Just like any married couple, Jeremy and I are often asked: “when are you going to have children?”. No matter what we answer the follow-up question is “are you going to include your kids in your paranormal stuff?”. Well, that is a loaded question.
During one of the posts last week, I briefly mentioned an interesting story involving St. Nicholas and The Pickled Boys. While that story was probably the least Christmasy thing you would associate with Saint Nicholas, it isn’t the only unusual story behind the jolly old man. While doing research for these Christmas posts I ended up coming across a few more interesting stories that I thought you might like to hear.
When I talk to people about what it’s like living with spirits, one thing that is often brought up is how animals seem to interact with spirits. I have heard a lot of people say that animals always seem to be more preceptive to spirits but honestly, I have witnessed animals are about as sensitive as humans. Some will acknowledge activity that is going on and some just seem oblivious to what is going on.
If you have been following my social media, you already know that Rampu has been pretty active this weekend. I even managed to catch him turning on on video! Normally he is camera shy and won’t turn on or off until shortly after I lower my phone or camera. Friday morning Rampu woke me up by flashing on and off quite a bit around 5am.
