A Golden Vacation For Paranormal Activity

This week we are checking out locations in the great state of Nevada. Today’s topic has been mentioned briefly in a previous post from two years ago when I talking about haunted locations in Virginia City, Nevada. Today’s topic is the Gold Hill Hotel and the Yellow Jacket Mine.  Continue reading A Golden Vacation For Paranormal Activity

This Jewel Comes With Guardian Angels

Have you ever lived some where or visited a place where you felt like you could live there for the rest of your life? What about a place that you would gladly haunt for the rest of your afterlife? The folks featured in today’s post felt that way about a home they built but didn’t get much of a chance to live in but none the less still call it home. Of course, if I had a chance to live in a home as beautiful as the Henderson Castle Inn, I wouldn’t let a little thing like death keep me from my beautiful home.  Continue reading This Jewel Comes With Guardian Angels

Keeping Watch On The Light Keeper

This week we are checking out haunted locations in the great state of Michigan. I have never been to Michigan but I know some awesome folks from there, like our friend Abby! (Hi Abby if you’re reading this). Today’s topic was recommended to me by a podcast listener. Read to the end of this post to hear about his own encounter at this location. Thank you, Hunter F. for the recommendation. The Seul Choix Pointe Lighthouse was a really interesting topic to research.  Continue reading Keeping Watch On The Light Keeper

Don’t Mess With The Devil’s Mustang!

This creepy Puerto Rican location comes from the town of Mayagüez. The house that is the center of today’s topic certainly looks creepy if you were to walk past it… even in the day light. It has clearly been abandoned for a long time. The walls are crumbling and becoming overgrown with plants and vines. But sitting quietly in the garage or car port area of the house is a classic mustang car that has also been abandoned by everyone except the spirits that roam the house and possibly the Devil. Welcome to the Casa del Mustang! Continue reading Don’t Mess With The Devil’s Mustang!

Not As Abandoned As It Appears

While Jeremy and I were staying in Peoria briefly last year, we got the chance to go down to Alton, Illinois for the evening for a talk by one of my favorite paranormal authors. While we were down there I had hoped to have a chance to drive by today’s topic but unfortunately an accident caused us to run later than we were planning. Maybe when we go back to Illinois for our friends’ wedding we can stop by the McPike Mansion.  Continue reading Not As Abandoned As It Appears

A Death For Christmas

The topic of today’s post is a haunted location that has intrigued me for a while now. I first heard of this case when it appeared on My Ghost Story and then again later on Ghost Hunters. I don’t know what it is about this haunted location but this is one of the cases that is often in the back of my mind. When I made the plan to talk about haunted locations in each state, I knew the Allen House would one of the topics for Arkansas before I even knew what the other topic(s) would be.  Continue reading A Death For Christmas

The Ladies Of The Afterlife Are Waiting For You Here

On this blog we have cover a variety of different places from private residences to hotels and camp sites to castles and movie theaters but we have yet to talk about a brothel. That changes today as we talk about the longest running brothel in United States history. The Dumas Brothel was established in Butte Montana back in 1890 and was open as a brothel until 1982. And while the doors maybe officially closed to the public, there are still a few spirits left behind that haven’t stopped living their afterlife at the Mercury Street building.  Continue reading The Ladies Of The Afterlife Are Waiting For You Here

Sometimes I Hear You Walk Across The Floor

The title of today’s post comes from lyric in a song written by Loretta Lynn. While she may have written the song about her friend, Patsy Cline, Loretta may have also been inspired by her own haunted house. The famous country singer has a large home in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee that is filled with more than just her family and everyone that visits there seems to encounter at least one of the spirits that now share her home.  Continue reading Sometimes I Hear You Walk Across The Floor
