This Week’s Theme: Nebraska

I hope y’all are having a safe, warm weekend. Over here in San Diego, it is cold and rainy. Jeremy and I tried to take John Paul to a dog park to let him burn off some energy but it was so cold that we left with in 20 minutes. Thankfully we left when we did because after driving about block down the street, it started just pouring rain. This is not the weather we left the Midwest for… Speaking of the Midwest, this week’s theme is still in the Midwest. This week we will be exploring haunted locations in Nebraska!  Continue reading This Week’s Theme: Nebraska

This Week’s Theme: Minnesota

This week we are heading back towards the Midwest for this week’s theme. I’ve only been to Minnesota once and that was for a long layover from Japan to North Carolina to see a high school friend, Grace, and to meet her husband a few years ago. One of the many cool things about Grace is she was the officiant that married Jeremy and I at our big wedding. She also made on of my favorite mugs. Since I was only in Minneapolis for a few hours, I didn’t get a chance to do anything spooky.  Continue reading This Week’s Theme: Minnesota

Where The Devils Roams

Before we jump into this post I would just like to announce that this is my 200th post on here!!! I will probably be celebrating with goldfish crackers with my dog, John Paul Jones because that is our snack of choice when I sit down to write since I have a lot more writing and researching ahead of me today. It’s been a bit since we have talked about cryptids on this blog. Thankfully New Hampshire has two for us to check out today. I hadn’t heard about either of these until I was trying to find topics to write about for this week’s theme. If you have heard of either of these cryptids, let me know.  Continue reading Where The Devils Roams

This Week’s Theme: Hawaii

This week I will be discussing another state that hasn’t really been mentioned too much on this blog before but it is one that has been highly suggested. This week we will be checking out two locations in Hawaii! I hope to one day be able to visit Hawaii or maybe even live out there if the military allows us. Speaking of the military, the only time I have mentioned Hawaii on this blog is on the post where military members and their spouses shared their stories of haunted bases they were at. 2022 According To The Cards

Happy New Years! I hope y’all had a good holiday and weekend. So far my 2022 is off to a great start! I even managed to check off one of my goals from the previous post. I mean technically I guess I could have checked it off before the new year started but I am still counting it for 2022 because I like starting the new year off on the right foot.  Continue reading 2022 According To The Cards

A Date Night With Our Dog

Between this move and all of it’s surprises, Bagheera getting sick, me getting sick (thankfully it was only a cold but it knocked me out for most of the weekend), and the military screwing up Jeremy’s pay last week, we needed a break and something to get us into the Christmas spirit. On Sunday night, Jeremy, John Paul and I loaded up into the car to go do something fun.  Continue reading A Date Night With Our Dog

A Splashing Good Weekend

This weekend was busy but also a lot of fun. We got to hang out with friends, explore new areas, and start celebrating the holiday season. Plus Bagheera came home! He was discharged Friday night. He has been doing well. He is acting like he did before he got sick. Katniss has calmed down since her brother came home and life returned to normal.  Continue reading A Splashing Good Weekend

The Road To San Diego

If you follow my social media at all, you know that this move has been insanely chaotic. We were suppose to be out here months ago. In fact our entire house in Seymour, IL was packed up on July 15th. At the time we were planning on staying in a hotel for a week until Jeremy checked out of his command. A few days after the movers came, we found out that Jeremy wouldn’t be able to check out as planned because there was an issue with his re-enlistment that hadn’t been approved yet.
