Summer of last year (can't believe it's already 2018!) I received an email from our FRO saying that the MCCS needed to hire a photographer for the Marine Corps Balls this past November. A few hours later Jeremy forwarded me the same email saying that I need to apply. So I did. I interviewed for it even though I seriously doubted I was what they were wanting. But surprisingly I was offered the gig.
A few weeks ago I found out about Military Spouse Of The Year. It was started by Military Spouse Magazine to recognize the important contributions from military spouses. I had mentioned it to my husband but didn't much of it. I didn't realize it at the time but he had nominated me for this. When he nominated me he also left a really sweet message. I was really touched when he nominated me.
The past few days have been such an emotional rollercoaster and so busy that I haven't been able to write much. I don't see things calming down until next week or after the wedding that is in two weeks (yikes). Monday and Tuesday was I dealing with personal stuff.
