The Dog Boy Of Arkansas

For those of y’all that follow this blog and now my podcast, I hope you know how much I appreciate y’all. I also hope how much sharing, commenting, and interacting with my posts really helps keep this blog going. I also really love it when y’all suggest topics for me to cover. Like today’s topic. If it wasn’t for readers like Alice, who suggested today’s topic, I wouldn’t know about some of these local to y’all stories. So thank you for suggestions! Thank you, Alice, for messaging me about the Dog Boy of Quitman, Arkansas. This was a tough one to read about so if abuse to elderly or animals bother you, consider this a trigger warning before proceeding further into this post.  Continue reading The Dog Boy Of Arkansas

A Death For Christmas

The topic of today’s post is a haunted location that has intrigued me for a while now. I first heard of this case when it appeared on My Ghost Story and then again later on Ghost Hunters. I don’t know what it is about this haunted location but this is one of the cases that is often in the back of my mind. When I made the plan to talk about haunted locations in each state, I knew the Allen House would one of the topics for Arkansas before I even knew what the other topic(s) would be.  Continue reading A Death For Christmas

This Week’s Theme: Minnesota

This week we are heading back towards the Midwest for this week’s theme. I’ve only been to Minnesota once and that was for a long layover from Japan to North Carolina to see a high school friend, Grace, and to meet her husband a few years ago. One of the many cool things about Grace is she was the officiant that married Jeremy and I at our big wedding. She also made on of my favorite mugs. Since I was only in Minneapolis for a few hours, I didn’t get a chance to do anything spooky.  Continue reading This Week’s Theme: Minnesota

The Hauntings Here May Be A Family Affair

This location in Nashua, New Hampshire was an interesting topic to research. It was also a hard topic to research because so much of what I was reading I couldn’t tell what was urban legend and what was history. No matter what seems to be the truth versus local legend, the activity at Gilson Road Cemetery is definitely interesting and seems fairly active.  Continue reading The Hauntings Here May Be A Family Affair

This Week’s Theme: New Hampshire

This week’s theme is a state that I have been to but not for a few decades. My parents took my little sister and I to New Hampshire to visit a Vietnam buddy of my dad’s for I think his wedding. The only thing I remember of that trip is that George’s guest house smelled like Snapple Peach juice and trying lobster rolls for the first time. I was definitely too young to go ghost hunting but I remember my dad saying that George had said there was a spirit in the guest house.  Continue reading This Week’s Theme: New Hampshire
