Should You Investigate By Yourself?

The usual response I get when I get done telling someone about one of my adventures is "Weren't you scared to be alone?". Since I have grown up with spirits and have yet to come across that truly scared, I'm not afraid to go alone. Yes, I prefer when my husband can go with me because I either don't trust the area (humans are scary and unpredictable) or because I like having someone else experience the same thing as me. Plus I love his company. But this is one of those topics where I say "do as I say, not as I do". I know myself, my limitations, and my abilities. I trust my gut and know how to think on my feet if something happens while I am on my own. But honestly even I probably shouldn't investigate by myself.

Spending The Night In Aokigahara

Ask most paranormal investigators what's on their paranormal bucket list and you'll probably hear them answer "Japan's Suicide Forest". It has been on mine ever since I first heard about it on Destination Truth ten years ago. Ever since that episode I felt drawn to it. So when my husband came home from work one day in January, while we still lived in Iwakuni, saying that Papaya and Ortiz (two marines in his shop) said that they wanted to go camping in Suicide Forest in a few weeks, I immediately invited us along on their trip.

The Haunted House Diaries: Book Review

I recently checked out a book from the library because of the statements written on the front cover. The Haunted House Diaries by William J. Hall has "Ghosts, Aliens, and Holes in Space and Time" and "THE TRUE STORY OF A QUIET CONNECTICUT TOWN IN THE CENTER OF A PARANORMAL MYSTERY" written on the cover. It seemed interesting and, to be completely honest with y'all, a little outlandish. As you know, ghosts I can handle but these folks wanted to throw in aliens and parallel dimensions to the mix as well.

My Life Is Crazy, Spooky, Fun.

Things around here are still crazy busy but as you know, that’s how I love it. If you have been following my social media, you already know that Rampu has been pretty active this weekend. I even managed to catch him turning on on video! Normally he is camera shy and won’t turn on or off until shortly after I lower my phone or camera. Friday morning Rampu woke me up by flashing on and off quite a bit around 5am. I’m happy he did because I got to watch a gorgeous sun rise. I have never seen lilac colored skies before. I think he was active because later Friday morning we had a few thunderstorms come through the area.

Investigation: Whaley House

In my previous post I wrote about fun investigations. Jeremy recently went on one while he was in San Diego for recruiting school. Sadly, I wasn’t there to go with him. This is definitely on my list of places I want to investigate bucket list. The Whaley House is someplace my dad and I talked about going to visit sometime. The history of the house intrigued my dad. Hopefully, I will get a chance to visit the Whaley House soon.

Investigation: Marine Corps Recruiting School

While Jeremy was in recruiting school, he let it be known that he was a paranormal investigator. Of course, that immediately lead everyone to start asking questions and telling him places to investigate. Surprisingly, most people started telling him about how the school house itself was haunted. Jeremy had to wait until he had duty to try to hold an investigation. Unfortunately, he did not have any of our equipment with him. These are his notes on the investigation (he prefers doing his notes in this style like they have him do at his work) and his pictures he took with his cell phone.
