The two movies being discussed in today's post seem to have an extra executive producer that isn't mentioned in the credits. Both of these movies have been rumored to have had either the Devil himself or one of his demons involved in the film production. The amount of things that went wrong with both movies is part of the proof that people point to when making these claims.
If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen where I came out of the broom closet at the beginning of the year. It all started when I was chatting with someone* on Facebook. We were discussing different beliefs we have.
Back at the beginning of this year, I found a copy of The Amityville Horror at our local library. Like most people, I knew the story of what supposedly happened at the house in Amityville, New York named High Hopes.
Last week, my friend, Mathew, and I went to see La Llorona. I was really excited to see this movie because its a part of the Conjuring series and because of the story it’s based on.

During the giveaway, I asked what is something y’all would want to Paranormal Housewife. One of the most popular answers was what to do if you think your house is haunted. Many of you wrote to me saying that you think there is something going on in your homes but you don’t have proof.
When I decided on this theme for this week I did it for two reasons. The first reason was because I love researching the true stories behind “based on a true story” movies and books. I like seeing how many facts actually made it in the book or the script and how much is just Hollywood fluff that is written just to get you to spend some money.
The week leading up to Christmas has been a crazy, busy, fun week. The day after Mom drove up from North Carolina, we drove down to Springfield, Illinois to explore new areas with Avery and her kids.
During one of the posts last week, I briefly mentioned an interesting story involving St. Nicholas and The Pickled Boys. While that story was probably the least Christmasy thing you would associate with Saint Nicholas, it isn’t the only unusual story behind the jolly old man. While doing research for these Christmas posts I ended up coming across a few more interesting stories that I thought you might like to hear.
