A few weeks ago a post went viral about a woman named Amethyst Realm (yes, that is her real name) who claimed she was engaged with a spirit she met while vacationing in Australia.
Be sure to read all the way to bottom for some cool announcements! Big things are coming and I can't wait to share them with y'all. This past week has been a busy one. Thankfully Jeremy had Thanksgiving Day off.
When we sleep we are the most vulnerable. Not just to normal things like attacks from adorable kittens or children but also from spirits. I often get messages about how people have connected with spirits of loved ones or with spirits in their home through dreaming. In fact, that is how Jeremy found out the name of the little girl in our Jacksonville house. I wrote before about talking to loved ones in dreams and I have received quite a few messages in regards to that (thank you for that) but in this post, I wanted to talk about when it seems like a spirit reaching in a not so friendly way through dreams.
Over the past couple of weeks, the activity at our house has been picking up. I don't know if it was because it was getting closer to Halloween, the spirits were feeding off my stress levels leading up to the Marine Corps Ball, or maybe the spirit(s) in the house are feeling more comfortable with us. Whatever it is, things have definitely been interesting.
Since my blog post last month about the three most common questions my facebook messenger and email have blown up with questions and comments about talking to spirits and using an Ouija board. I decided to address some of the questions, comments, and concerns that were shared with me.
The usual response I get when I get done telling someone about one of my adventures is "Weren't you scared to be alone?". Since I have grown up with spirits and have yet to come across that truly scared, I'm not afraid to go alone. Yes, I prefer when my husband can go with me because I either don't trust the area (humans are scary and unpredictable) or because I like having someone else experience the same thing as me. Plus I love his company. But this is one of those topics where I say "do as I say, not as I do". I know myself, my limitations, and my abilities. I trust my gut and know how to think on my feet if something happens while I am on my own. But honestly even I probably shouldn't investigate by myself.
I recently got into a deep conversation with a reader about dreams. Recently we both had been having odd dreams that we couldn't shake. The reader who reached out to me said that it was okay to share her dream but asked that I not reveal her identity.
If you watch any kind of paranormal movie or if you tell someone that you are dealing with a spirit, the first thing people do is grab a crucifix and start slinging holy water around. This rarely solves the issue. Growing up in the bible belt allowed me to witness this often and If anything I have noticed that it causes the spirit to get upset. There area few reasons why they get upset and "act out" more aggressively after that happens. Growing up in the bible belt allowed me to witness this often and pushed me to figure out why these methods don't work.
For those of y'all who aren't familiar with the Brown Mountian Lights, I will take this moment to explain what it is. Brown Mountian is located in western North Carolina near Boone. The lights have been observed since the 1200's. The lights are balls of lights that form on the side of the mountain and then rise above mountain where they flash in different colors before fading away. The Cherokee Indians in the area first reported the lights after a battle took place with another clan. The Cherokee theorized that it was the spouses of warriors looking for their loved ones after the battle. Later on, the legend would change to a young bride looking for her groom who died on their wedding day or a mother looking for her children lost in the woods.
