Most everyone I meet loves dogs. Dogs are typically loving and faithful, unlike most humans. In fact, when I meet a human that doesn’t like dogs, I make sure I steer clear of those folks as much as possible. I will trust a dog’s judgment of a person or situation over that of a person’s judgment. In fact, when I first started dating my now husband, I told him that when I took him home to meet my dad, he would also have to pass my dog’s approval as well. Thankfully both Dad and Cujo loved him. My ex before Jeremy did not get along with Cujo at all. I should have listened to Cujo and avoided that heartache but at least listening to Cujo lead me to a long, happy relationship with Jeremy.
With St. Patrick's Day coming up soon, I thought this week would be a great time to delve into some of Ireland's spirits and folklore. Ireland has an interesting history and even more interesting folklore. This post is a little darker but the post on Thursday will be a bit more cheerier.
During the giveaway, I asked what is something y'all would want to Paranormal Housewife. One of the most popular answers was what to do if you think your house is haunted. Many of you wrote to me saying that you think there is something going on in your homes but you don't have proof. Or you have experienced something in your home but you don't know what to do next. This post is some of my dos and don'ts of what I recommend my clients to follow if they think something is going.
When Jeremy and I first moved to Champaign, people told us to watch out for Effingham. We assumed it was for the speed traps on the interstate by the rest area or all the construction. Nope, that was just part of what we should have been warned about. Turns out that in Effingham there are werewolves, warlocks, spirits and something else entirely weird prowling around. When Jeremy and I found out what all was going on down there, we had to go check it out ourselves.
The two games I am featuring in this post are for those who prefer something a little scarier. I do have to say though, be careful when playing these games. I have never played them so I don't know how they will play out. Also when playing games like these in the dark, you need to take precautions to not hurt yourself. Sorry for sounding like a mom for a moment but I have to put those warnings in with these games.
When I planned this week's theme, I had no idea that ironically this week our town would be covered in snow. This week our area received 8 inches of snow. It has definitely made things interesting.
