Being overseas, I don't usually hear about movies until after they have been out for a while in theaters but one movie I have been hearing a lot about lately is 12 Strong.
The main reason for my trip back to North Carolina was to be with my sister and mom for the anniversary of my Dad's death. I knew it would be a very difficult anniversary and not one I would want spend half way around the world from them. I knew that if we stayed in Chapel Hill we would just sit around miserable and depressed and that would not be how Dad would want us to be. I had the idea that we should go away for the anniversary and do something that Dad would have wanted to do.
Before my arrival my mom had been dealing with months of repairs to her house. She was having both of her bathrooms, master bedroom, and kitchen completely redone due to two pipes bursting while she was away traveling. The construction was still continuing after my arrival. My mom needed a break (and a bathroom that had both a working toilet and sink in the same room), so we decided to that we needed a girls trip to somewhere fun. Since Charleston is just a couple of hours away from my mom's house we head down for an overnight trip.
