For the first time in a long time I am actually busy everyday. I am happy I am getting out the house and socializing more. I have a bad habit of becoming a hermit when Jeremy goes away. I'm really working hard to change that.
Last night I booked tickets to fly back home in November. I wouldn't have been able to do it if it wasn't for my mom. Well I could save the money between now and then but I probably wouldn't have gotten such a great deal that I was able to get. I am very grateful that she helped me. Don't get me wrong. I love Japan but I am really homesick right now. I am looking forward to going home and seeing family again.
In the past year I have traveled quite a bit and in the up coming year I plan on traveling even more. So far I have Thailand, Hawaii, and hopefully a trip home planed in the next nine months. You already know that I went home last year plus I have traveled to Osaka and Kyoto a few times. It's been a very busy year but in a great way.
I will be the first to admit it. Since I stopped teaching in December, I haven't really dived into exploring Japan as much as I use to. Yes, I haven't exactly been hiding out in my apartment but I have been staying in my comfort zones by only going to the stores I know and the parts of Hiroshima I have been to repeatedly if I left Iwakuni. With my mom coming in the next month or so and hopefully getting a new camera this week I am getting the itch to start exploring again.
