Today's post is about a ghost still waiting for her loved one to come back to her. This story takes place at the Hotel Galvez. The Hotel Galvez is the home to many spirits and I have a feeling we will be discussing some of its inhabitants again at a later date but one of their most famous spirits is that of Audra. Audra was a 25-year-old beautiful woman who used to frequent the hotel.
With Valentine's Day this week, I wanted to focus on stories of ghosts that show love lasts long after death. There is no way that I could have romantic stories this week and not include my favorite spirit love story. I have mentioned this story before in an earlier post but I only briefly told the story. This is the story Nang Nak and her husband Mak.
On Monday, Japan celebrated White Day. As mentioned in my post about how Valentine's Day was celebrated over here in Japan, Valentine's Day is mainly for the men. Then on March 14, the women get to be the ones showered with chocolates and presents.
One of the things I love learning about here in Japan is how they take Western Holidays and make them different. Valentine's Day is a great example of that.
Jeremy and I do Valentine's Day differently than most people. Instead of getting dressed up and going out on Valentine's Day, we stay in and spend the day together. We were both really looking forward to doing this because of how busy we both have been.
So the blizzard of '15 has already melted.
