The sunset behind us while we wait for the firefighters to put out the truck fire.

This road trip has been interesting from the very beginning. The truck in front of the truck we were following crashed into the cement barricade. The driver, his partner and their dog were able to get out before it caught on fire. Please drive safely and watch out for your fellow motorists.

After picking our car up from the tire shop, I saw this feather on the side of the road. My sweet husband jumped out of the car to grab it for me. It’s the largest feather I’ve found so far. Definitely going on the family alter when we get back home from North Carolina.

Watching Host with Katniss Everpurr. She is the only cat I know that loves actually watching scary movies. I love my little horror movie buff.

I’m no expert but I don’t think it’s a good sign when your foot long sage bundle bursts into flames after smoking quietly for an hour. Thankfully I was just a few feet from it when it turned into a fireball. I carried it outside before dousing it with water. I guess I need to do more cleansing in my house but with less flammable options.

We are enjoying a nice evening of grilling out and a fire in our fire pit.
